  1. These are wonderful ideas! Winter also puts a damper on my mood. And agreed. PA has been especially frigid the past few weeks. Hopefully there’s warmer weather coming soon. We can only hope ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. sipping on a beverage of some sort really helps calm me down. lately that’s been coffee with vanilla creamer, chai tea lattes, or kombucha. love burning candles too, and using my essential oil diffuser. i did a face mask last week which was awesome too. self care is so essential!

    • Those all sound amazing! Coffee and vanilla creamer is probably my favorite too. The So Delicious brand coconut milk vanilla is really good!

    • I know, it’s been in the negatives for 2 weeks straight in PA. I feel so depressed about it. I think a nice trip to Austin would be great! In fact, we have family that live there! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I’m sorry you are having a bit of a rough time right now with the cold ๐Ÿ™ I actually LOVE the cold weather, but I also grew up in LA where we never really got cold weather so now that I live in a place that actually drops below 30 degrees, I’m loving it!
Lately I’ve been taking more baths with epsom salts to not only help my muscles but also just relax. I also really love hair masks! There’s something about having shiny, soft hair that makes me happy lol

    • Yeah, I’ve always lived in this general area and my hatred for the winter seems to grow each year. I think the worst part of it is the ice for me. It’s really dangerous and makes commuting really stressful from like January-March. Also, this negative temps thing for 2 weeks straight is crazy. All I’m asking for is 40’s or anything above 35!
I don’t think I’ve ever tried a hair mask! Do you make them yourself or is there a brand you like to get?

  4. These are great self care ideas! I always tell myself I donโ€™t have time for a bath, when in reality itโ€™s like 15-20 minutes of the day that can make a world of difference in my mood. Sorry the cold is getting to you, I have never lived in a really cold area, but I think it would be a struggle for me too.

    • What area do you live in? I’m hoping to move somewhere warm if jobs ever allow my husband and I to move! Yes, it always feels like a “chore” to take time to do something like a bath but in reality it’s 10-15 minutes of the day and it sets you up for feeling good!

    • Lovely! I have never been out to AZ before..its definitely on my list of places to travel. Maybe Spring or Winter would be a good time?

  5. These last few days I have been SO grumpy, tired, pissy (excuse the potty mouth) and anxious…. all in one! I don’t know what’s going on. But I know the cold and snow has at least something to do with it. Not to mention lack of sun and vitamin d. I’ve been really really craving a manicure lately. I’ve never been one that loves manicures but I’ve seen so many nice nails lately I really want one. I also really want a massage. Now to feel like I have the money to justify them is the real battle ๐Ÿ™

    • Yes! I have been the same way! The ice and snow…I can’t even deal and it’s only January!! ๐Ÿ™ I’m with you on the money too…for now I’m trying to find spa-like things to do at home.
