10 Things I Never Thought I’d Do While Pregnant

I like to think I’ve kept things pretty under control during this pregnancy so far. Nothing super major to write home about BUT I’ve definitely had some pretty good crazy lady moments. I can’t keep these moments to myself; it’s just too funny. Here are some pretty good moments so far. I’m sure in the next several weeks, more will pop up!Β

10 Things I Never Thought I’d Do While Pregnant

  • Cry when the leftovers I thought were in the fridge were in fact gone
  • Time contractions on a post-it note at my desk every day at work and go about my day otherwise
  • Eat Eggplant at 6:15am
  • Obsess over Owl swaddle blankets and lose sleep until I bought them
  • Not sleep for more than a 3 hour stretch since OctoberΒ
  • Lose all ability to do a real workout
  • Walk to the store just to buy cookies at 8pm
  • Get super angry over not having a hand towel rack in my bathroom
  • Feel scarily protective while crossing the street
  • Feel a special bond with every pregnant lady I see

Thank you,Β AmandaΒ for letting me think out loud today!

  1. Such a fun, sweet list πŸ™‚ Something I never thought I’d do – sleep in! I am such a morning person, but at the end after I stopped working, I slept SO much and SO late. This felt amazing since I had had trouble sleeping for much of the time bring pregnant.

    • Oh yes that sounds glorious to me right now! I try to catch random naps on the weekends when I don’t have to be set to a work schedule–its definitely amazing!

    • Haha thanks! I now have the towel rack–you would have thought it was the most important piece in my apartment! sheesh!

  2. This is so cute! I was all about toast and smoothies with my first pregnancy. With my second, I had a lot more nausea and food aversions, and I cried at least a couple times because I was pregnant and hungry but nothing sounded good. There were also a couple times I planned what I wanted for dinner, but it didn’t look or smell good, so I asked the hubs to get me something else. He always obliged, what a good sport.

    • Toast and smoothies are my jam right now!! πŸ˜€ I can definitely relate to crying over not wanting the food in the house. Sounds like you have a keeper of a hubby–it really is so hard when nothing seems delicious!
