30 Day Yoga Camp Review

One of my August Goals was to complete the 30 Day Yoga Camp program from the Yoga with Adriene YouTube channel. Today I thought I’d talk a little bit about the program and how I liked it in case anyone is looking for a free workout program. I had been craving more yoga in my daily routine so this was a great way for me to enjoy yoga!

Thoughts Before:

I wanted to try out something new because I was getting bored with my fitness routine. I loved that the program was free and I could complete it 100% at home. So, I decided to commit to the month and see how it went. Before I began I definitely wondered if this would be too much yoga for me and wondered if yoga would be “enough” of a challenge for me as my only workout. But, I decided to go for it full speed ahead!

Thoughts During:

Overall, I really enjoyed the program. I felt both challenged and relaxed. Adriene does a great job at showing alternate poses so I really believe that a person at any level could enjoy this program. There was a good amount of variety to the body parts we were focusing on and each day had a mantra that went with it. 

The workouts range from 15 minutes-55 minutes and vary in intensity. I enjoyed the more challenging days best and craved those on easier days. This program seems geared to all levels but I think is more for newbies looking to get started with yoga. After the 2nd week, I did begin to miss strength training and cardio workouts. 

My favorite aspect of the program was being able to quiet my mind on my yoga mat. Too often, I am thinking about a million things a minute and just want to get things done. This program forced me to slow down and be still. Yes, I was craving a higher intensity workout at times, but I think sometimes we need to slow down and relax. 

Thoughts After:

Now that I’ve completed the yoga camp, I do want to incorporate more yoga in to my fitness routine. I hope to do it once or twice a week as it really helped my back health and flexibility. Not to mention, it helped with stress and anxiety and helped me to get to sleep. I’d definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to try out some yoga at home. It’s very well done and Adriene is a great instructor. Even though I don’t think I’ll be doing yoga every single day, I will definitely be using her videos on a weekly basis.

If you are feeling anxious and stressed, I think you should give this program a shot. I learned a lot about myself and learned to listen and to be still. It was very challenging not to let my mind wander to other things but it was a great practice to get in to. Yogis and new yogis, check out her channel; she has something for everyone!

  1. I’m glad you posted this. I would love to add in yoga to some of my workouts, but I always have a hard time focusing. And, I have always wondered if it would be challenging enough, or if it would even be a good workout. I will definitely have to try to do some more yoga and work on be still as well! 🙂

  2. I love yoga! Even if I just incorporate yoga stretches/inversions into my day for 10 min, I always feel so much better. This 30 day yoga camp sounds awesome Heather!
