5 Friday Faves

5 Friday Faves

Happy Friday! Today I’m popping in quickly to share five things making me smile this week. Please tell me your favorites in the comments below. I hope you all enjoy your Memorial Day weekends! I’ll begin my Monday/Wednesday/Friday posting schedule next week starting  Monday.

5 Friday Faves

  • Iced Coffee: I’ve been loving iced coffees as the weather warms up a bit here in Pennsylvania. I love coconut milk creamer with my whole heart–I think it’s  the best non-dairy milk for coffee out there!
  • Dark Chocolate: Dark chocolate in my oats is my jam right now. Also loving dark chocolate squares with peanut butter or dark chocolate covered almonds!
  • Friendly People: I’ve had some of your usual nasty or rude comments during my pregnancy but I’ve also had some very genuine and sweet people comment and congratulate me. I also appreciate whenever someone gives up their seat to me on the train. Me, baby girl, and my pelvic pain thank you. 😉
  • Warm Showers: As I mentioned before, I’ve been really struggling with back, hip, and pelvic pain the past two weeks. Warm showers have been the perfect way for me to relax at the end of the day. Sometimes a nice warm shower before bed is just what I need! It’s the small stuff, isn’t it?
  • Relaxation Videos: In the past I’ve mentioned my love for ASMR/Relaxation videos on YouTube. They have really been a life saver for me lately too. They help me feel relaxed when I’m having contractions, when I can’t sleep, or when I’m just uncomfortable and trying to wind down.

What’s making you smile this week?

  1. I had my first iced coffee of the season just the other day. Mmmmm.
Really happy to hear you’ve been finding ways to make you feel relaxed and help with the aches and pains. I’ve been doing some muscular tension release audio meditations and they’ve really been feeling good. And had an epsom salt bath just last night!

  2. those people who just make you smile totally make you forget about the nasty comments, or at least the nasty comments go to the back of your mind. lately I’ve been loving quiet evenings and fun nights with my family.

    • Thanks! I’m just trying to relax whenever humanly possible. It has been really difficult to continue my work schedule though!

  3. Dark chocolate and iced coffee – that’s talking my language right there!! 😉
Who the heck is being nasty to a pregnant lady? Give me their names, I’ll beat them up for you.

    • Isn’t it the best combo–especially for the warm months 😀 Yes, I’m so shocked by how rude people can be! I’ll let you know if anyone needs beating up 😀

    • That’s okay! I don’t normally pick overnight oats over regular but during the hot months I find that it’s a nice change of pace.

    • I either get the Enjoy Life brand that is dairy free chocolate chips or I just buy t he high quality dark chocolate where no milk or milk fat is added. Just the good stuff and no dairy! 😀 Same with the squares. I love the Endangered Species Chocolate, Enjoy Life, Dark Chocolate Dream, and most of the Lindt dark chocolate bars don’t have dairy–I just have to double check those!

  4. Coconut creamer is my new loooooveeee. What brand do you use? I like the Silk one and the Calif Farms almond ones too. And dark chocolate= LIFE. I think it’s crazy that you have had ANY rude comments at all through pregnancy (*SMH*), but good for you for only paying attention to the kind ones. Love your friday faves posts <3
