5 Must Watch Christmas Movies

Hello, friends! Happy Monday to you. I’ve got to get through this workweek and then I’ll have a week off. I can do this! (I’m more telling this to myself than you…need the pep talk!) I hope everyone has been enjoying lots of Christmas fun and food and parties this month! I know I’ve been enjoying some great movies and festivities! Today I’m sharing 5 of my go-to Christmas movies. In the comments, leave me your favorites so I can check them out too!

5 Must Watch Christmas Movies:

  • Beauty & the Beast Enchanted Christmas: This isn’t one of those silly made for TV shows that’s mediocre. This is a full length Disney movie in all of it’s Christmas glory. Lots of classic Disney-emotional songs and a cute story. Definitely one for the whole family to enjoy!
  • Elf: Everyone knows this one! I love watching this every year. No matter what, I always end up crying at the end. I’m too sappy!
  • The Nativity Story: I like to watch this one on Christmas eve every year. It’s a live-action movie depicting the first Christmas. It stars Keisha Castle-Hughes as Mary. I like it as a reminder of the Christmas story and a reminder of the challenges and realities of the time of the first Christmas.
  • The Holiday: This movie follows two girls, played by Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz, who decide to house swap for the holidays in order to find themselves. It’s a great cast and a really lovely story. I’d rather watch this movie than Love Actually any day!
  • The Christmas Classics Collection: I can’t go through the holidays without watching the Christmas classics! Frosty, Rudolph, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, along with a few bonus cartoons. I grew up watching these so it’s always fun to watch them again each year.

What are your favorite Christmas movies? Do you like Love Actually?

  1. These are all great! I would’ve never thought about the Beauty & the Beast Enchanted Christmas. I’ve heard of it but it’s good to know that it deserves a watch! 🙂 My favorites are A Christmas Story, It’s a Wonderful Life, and The Polar Express!

  2. Oh my gosh I totally forgot about B&B Enchanted Christmas! It’s so good!! I hope I still have the VHS at home..
I love Love Actually. Haha. I love it a lot.
    Thanks for the reminders!

    • My parents have the VHS and no working VCR anymore! My sister bought it this year on DVD and I was sooo excited to watch it! I was more excited to watch it than my niece haha!

  3. So many good movies 🙂 I also love Christmas with the Cranks, and all of the cheesy ABC Family / Lifetime movies. I also like Love Actually, but I like The Holiday more 🙂

    • Christmas with the Cranks…I havent seen that one! I cant get in to Love Actually..it makes me sad and depressed when I watch it!

  4. I just love the Christmas Classics so much. They scream Christmas to me more than anything! My sister and I would watch them on Christmas Eve and try to stay awake to “see Santa” while growing up, but never could quite stay awake long enough. Hehe. This is a great list!

  5. The Holiday is my favorite Jack Black movie. He was so good! I also love Christmas With The Kranks and The Santa Clause (I love Tim Allen). I haven’t had a big chance to do much watching this year, but I am reading a cheesy Christmas book when I have time. I also love the Christmas specials from TV shows.

    • Jack Black is great in The Holiday! I like him in semi-serious roles! I just watched The Santa Clause last night–classic! I havent seen Christmas with the Kranks–ill have to check that one out. I think it’s on Netflix. I love the cheesy hallmark ones 😀

    • Yes, it’s from the 90’s! I saw them at Target and online to buy. Scoop it up now because it’s only out for the holidays before it goes back in to the Disney Vault!

  6. I LOVE Elf. It’s my favorite Christmas movie! Home Alone and the Grinch are also up there. And no… I watched Love Actually and was so weirded out by it! Haha I hope this week flies by for you!

    • Do you prefer Jim Carrey Grinch or classic cartoon? I like both! Same here, it’s an odd movie and it doesnt give me any Christmas happiness haha

    • Are there bad words in Elf? I think it’s rated PG! Thats surprising! Cant remember that. Yes, Beauty and the Beast is a must watch!
