It’s time for my bi-monthly Currently post! I’d love to hear what you’re up to in the comment section below!

Currently: January 2017

Cooking: Now that I’m not feeling nauseous 24/7, I’m getting back in to my usual meal planning and cooking. This week is the first week I’ve done my menu and dinner plans in 3 months! This week I’m planning on making lots of vegetable filled warming dishes!

Anticipating: Finding out the sex of the baby!! We will find out in 4 weeks!

Craving: Juice, smoothies, cold fruit, vegetables, and still craving carbs of course!

Drinking: Hot chocolate–I’ve been loving my organic drinking chocolate with coco-whip! Also loving some ginger ale with lots of ice…since I can’t just enjoy wine right now, I’m liking the seltzers and ginger ale!

Indulging In: I made two batches of brownies over Christmas and I’ve been having some coconut ice cream every once in a while. Lately, I’ve been loving cereal at night for a dessert!

Needing: More maternity shirts. Last week, I went out and got some work clothes, jeans, and a couple sweaters which was a great start. Now I’m just needing some more shirts for work and the weekend.

Loving: Feeling more like myself slowly but surely. I still have bad moments of not feeling good or full bad days, but overall am starting to feel more human again. It’s great to have a bit of my old appetite back and not feel sick all of the time!

Watching: We recently signed up for a 30 day free trial of Hulu. I’ve been loving the selection they have. When I was in college, I used to love watching Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant and they have both of those shows on Hulu. I’ve been binge watching 16 & Pregnant and it’s so entertaining to me. I’ll be sad when our trial is over!

Favorite place for maternity clothes (that will last!)? Hulu recommendations?

Tell me in the comments below!

  1. So glad to hear you’ve been feeling more like yourself, with appetite back and all. Mmmmmm cool whip. You and Sarah have now made it clear that I must go buy some. Good luck with the shopping! I’d be of no help. I have zero fashion sense and am an awful shopper.

    • I’m telling you–coconut whip is so delicious!! I was able to get some clothes! I went on two different shopping excursions and have a good starter pack going now haha!

  2. that hot cocoa looks so good. glad you are feeling more like yourself! and that you have your appetite back. that is something we seriously take for granted! have a great day heather 🙂

    • It’s true–until we don’t have an appetite or aren’t feeling well we really take it for granted. Every time I feel hungry now I feel so happy about it haha!

  3. Glad you are feeling a little better! I love Hulu!! My husband and I are currently watching Nashville. We are so late to the game, but really enjoy watching a few episodes at a time so it has worked out great!

    • Thank you! I was really nervous about it too going in to it because stomach things are the worst in my opinion. If I got through it I’m so sure you could!! <3

  4. I just made brownies and now I wish that I had some coconut ice cream to go with it!
Pregnancy seems like such an adventure. It totally sucks that you aren’t feeling well, however. I’m glad you’re starting to feel like yourself! How is your husband responding to it all?

    • I have the ice cream at my house now and no brownies–dang it we need to combine our haul!! haha! Yes, but luckily I’m feeling much better now!! My husband is so so excited and has been such a support to me. During my worst weeks, he brought me food and drink, put me to bed, rubbed my back, and took care of basically all of our house chores. I felt so loved and lucky even though I felt so sick!

  5. I’m really excited to find out the sex of your baby too! I love seeing all sorts of baby updates from absolutely anyone and everyone!!! I’m hoping to get into meal planning. I’ve been cooking a lot lately but I want to be better at the whole planning thing…

  6. Oh yay! So glad you are feeling better!!!! And you cannot go wrong with cereal for dessert! Four weeks seems too long.. I’m quite anxious to know. Haha. Hope you have a lovely weekend- enjoy that Hulu!!! <3
