Other than that, time with Daniel and much relaxation is in order! Today’s BBQ Chickpea burger is gluten free and vegetarian; perfect for a Memorial weekend BBQ! I had mine on a gluten free hamburger roll with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. I also had some steamed green beans seasoned with (Lawrys and garlic powder) and sweet potato fries (seasoned with dill and olive oil) on the side.

I made two smaller chickpea patties in to lettuce wraps for my lunch the next day with the leftovers. It would also make a great salad topper.

Have a great weekend! Until Monday’s post…Happy grilling!

    • It’s definitely easy! You could add flour instead of oats and add shredded carrots for extra flavor…I was going for as simple as possible! They turned out good though just as they are!

Thats, great! I’m hoping I get in plenty of the same this weekend!

    • Thank you, Dani! They really came together quickly and were surprisingly tasty…especially with the smokey sauce on top!

    • It was much easier than I thought. The texture before baking is chunky and not that pleasant but once you bake them they feel like a regular meat patty would! Thanks, Brooklyn! Hope you try it out!

  1. Sounds healthy and tasty! I got into a debate with someone before about whether or not veggie burgers are a good “substitute” for meat burgers–and I was trying to explain that they don’t have to be a “substitute”; they’re delicious for what they are!
