Foodie Friday: Chocolate Mint Shake

Hello & happy Friday! This weekend I’ve got some sisterly bonding planned with one of my sisters and hopefully some relaxing and errand-running in the mix.

I wanted to share today’s recipe with you since we are still in the week of St. Patrick’s Day. I also love chocolate and mint any time of the year..so really I just needed an excuse to share this with you!

Ingredients (1 serving):

ingredients shake

  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 cup dairy free vanilla almond milk ice cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions:

blend

  • Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth! Add more ice cream and/or milk until desired consistency.

drink!

*Special note on the mint, it’s EXTREMELY minty, so proceed with caution. Add way less than you think you need and add more after tasting. I hope that you have a great weekend!

  1. Chocolate mint is definitely one my favorite combos! The shamrock shake from McDs is one thing from there I actually crave! It’s nice to have options at home!

    • yes that is why i made this. i read the mcdonalds ingredients and cried out to the heavens because i loved getting it! You could add some green food coloring to this and some whipped cream!

  2. My sister is my best friend, I hope you enjoyed your sister-bonding time. This shake reminds me of thin mints, can’t wait to try it out myself. 🙂

    • I agree- my sisters are both my best friends too! It was a great time! 🙂 Yes, this is like drinking thin mints i cant wait to make myself some more! 🙂

    • It’s really refreshing–just taste as you go and add way less mint than you think you should! its really intense! 🙂
