Foodie Friday: Coconut Mocha Shake

Happy Friday! With Memorial weekend, this work week flew by for me! I’ve got some fun plans for tomorrow with one of my sisters and my cousin in the city–more on that later! Sunday I hope to relax at home, food prep, and do some blog work! Today’s Coconut Mocha Shake is simple, easy, and refreshing. Use it in the morning instead of your usual coffee or perhaps for a sweet treat to end the night. It’s vegan, gluten free, and has a kick of caffeine to jump start your morning.

Finished Coconut Mocha Shake

I used Vega protein powder for this recipe. It’s vegan and gluten free and doesn’t have as much of a chalky taste that some protein powders have. I wanted to add the protein powder to help keep me full and more satisfied because I’m ALWAYS hungry!

I hope that you have a great weekend whatever your plans are! I plan to be posting Monday-Friday now, so I hope you’ll enjoy some more content than I’ve done before. I’d love it if you took a moment to give me a thumbs up on my Facebook page! Until Monday, happy blending, friends! Let me know in the comments section of any types of posts you like or would like to see!

Do you use protein powder? If so, what’s your favorite brand? Do you like coffee and chocolate together? Do short work weeks seem to drag on forever?

Tell me in the comments below!

    • Yes! The frozen banana makes it nice and refreshing. You could also add ice cubes too. I stuck mine in the freezer for a couple of minutes after i blended it up–yummy!

    • Thanks, Alexandra! I drink hot coffee basically every morning too. Sometimes i switch it up to iced coffee but its not the norm!

  1. Yum!!! I need to do this! I love blended coffee drinks and this is so much healthier than say a frapaachino! So happy you are increasing your blogging to every week day!! Look forward to reading your blog every day!! I really like posts showing what other people eat, lunch ideas, workout ideas, and weekend recaps!

    • Yes, i was trying to go for healthier but still good! Thanks, Taylor…Lunch ideas is a good idea. Especially work week lunches.

  2. ooo this sounds good except my protein powder is PB.. hopefully its just as good! But really, how can anyone not like coffee and chocolate together?!

  3. Cold brew coffee, a few ice cubes, Paleo protein triple chocolate flavor, a splash of almond milk into the nutribullet. Best afternoon snack ever. The Paleo protein has egg whites, so it whips up into a creamy dreamy frozen afternoon jolt. Next time I’m taking your suggestion and throwing some coconut in the mix! Yum.
