Foodie Friday: Eggnog French Toast

Foodie Friday: Eggnog French Toast

It’s Friday! This week went pretty quick which is always a good thing in the working world! I’m looking forward to a busy but festive weekend with a few Christmas parties and a baptism to celebrate. What are your weekend plans? Today’s Eggnog French Toast continues along with this month’s Christmas recipe theme in the best way possible. It’s a dairy free and gluten free alternative perfect for Christmas morning!

Eggnog French Toast (GF/Dairy Free)

  • 4 Slices gluten free bread
  • 1/3 cup dairy free eggnog (I used Silk original)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 eggs

  • Combine all ingredients (minus the bread) in a small shallow bowl

  • Dip bread in to mixture until very well coated and place on greased griddle pan
  • Heat on medium high heat flipping over when mixture has cooked through (about 4 minutes per side)
  • Serve with your favorite toppings and a mug of hot chocolate!

  • I had mine with coconut whip, fresh blueberries, and maple syrup. USE REAL MAPLE SYRUP!

I hope that everyone has a magnificent weekend filled with warmth, friends, family, and holiday cheer! Until Monday, Happy eggnogging! 😀

  1. Oh how I wish I liked eggnog. Its such a festive drink that the rest of my family looks forward to having once a year… but I’ve always hated the stuff. One of the very few things I don’t like. But this still looks delicious and my family would devour it!

  2. I’ve never had eggnog actually…honestly don’t know how I’ve gotten this far in life without trying it! I love French toast though so it may be time to try some eggnog. I love real maple syrup and pecans on top of french toast! It’s just so much maple-y buttery goodness!

    • Oh man have you ever had the honey roasted pecans? They are so good! You should definitely try it out–its a different flavor that people either love or hate!

  3. That looks so yummy! I need to get better about making good breakfasts at home. I usually think they are just for restaurants but I want to try some good ones at home like this!

    • Good breakfasts at home are weekend staples around here! 😀 Hope you enjoy some yummy pancakes or waffles during the cold weekend!

  4. I havent bought any eggnog this season because I KNOW that Im just going to down the stuff in one sitting. haha. It’s so dang good! Love the idea of using it in french toast!
