Foodie Friday: Loaded Dessert Fries

Happy Friday, everyone! Thanks for all of the bloggers who chimed in on yesterday’s Thinking Out Loud post. I was definitely laughing at the truth of all the different answers–gotta love it! Today’s loaded dessert fries are gluten free and packed with s’mores deliciousness! I don’t know about you, but in the summer, I love to eat s’mores. Since I live in an apartment building and don’t have a fireplace, I got a little creative with a sweet potato fry take on the classic s’more recipe! This recipe would the perfect dessert for summer BBQ’s!

    • I think these make a great indulgence though 🙂 And..at least you’re getting some antioxidants form the dark chocolate, healthy fats from the coconut oil, and fiber and potassium from the sweet potato!

  1. I love sweet potatoes! My mom makes a sweet potato casserole for thanksgiving and I could eat it for dessert. Actually I could eat only that and be completely satisfied! That’s why we have it once a year! Yours look so good! I love s’mores, and I got to where I was making them in the microwave just so I could have one. I may have also turned on my broiler and roasted a marshmallow under it! 😉

    • haha I used to make them over the stove at my parent’s house, but where I live now is an electric stove. These really tasted just as good though!

    • Thanks, Marina! I agree–I’m new to the whole sweet potato for dessert thing too. It’s definitely delicious!
