Quick Update & Recently

Hello! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. I definitely got in the relaxation I was hoping for and also got more packing done for our move this Friday. Although I’m not enjoying packing everything up or thinking about moving it all, I am looking forward to redecorating and getting settled in to our new space! Also, it has felt good to go through our things and get rid of things I never use or even touch. Lots of trash removal, donations, and cleansing is always a lovely feeling!

This week will be my regular work week with the addition of moving prep all week. Actual move will be on Friday, so this week should be pretty tiring. Please tell me about your weekends in the comments below! Today I just wanted to share that quick update with you and also share some of my recent posts for anyone who may be new. Happy browsing!

I hope that you have a great start to your week and that if you are in an area like mine, that we will hopefully see some snow melting and above freezing temps?! One can hope!

  1. We moved when I was 6 or 7 months pregnant and it certainly is exhausting! The good news is you won’t have to do any of the heavy lifting 🙂 I kind of hate packing (mainly the stage where most stuff is packed but you have to leave random stuff out that you’re still using), but I love the unpacking / organizing part. I hope it goes smoothly and you love your new place!

    • Thank you! We are moving from a 1 bedroom rental to a 2 bedroom condo rental since we’ll need the extra room come June! 😀

  2. Good luck with the move!! I like moving too just for that reason – it’s like spring cleaning 😉 I find things I forgot I had and clearly if I had forgotten about them, then I don’t need them!! It’s a great way to lighten the load before moving on to a new start 🙂

  3. It’s just so so weird that it’s really cold there, and it’s really warm here. It was 77 degrees yesterday; I was shocked! O_O We’re praying for snow and rain if the Lord wills, because we have some significant fire danger here.

I’m so glad you got rest in; it always makes me so happy to hear about blogger friends getting good rest and relaxation, because all of you are so diligent and so good at working; you need that rest too.

    • Wow 77 degrees sounds great for melting this snow haha! I hope you guys get some rain to help with the fire danger! I am absolutely great with rain…just as long as the precipitation is not frozen I’m happy haha!

  4. Blegh moving. You have a BIG week ahead of you. I hope you have lots of good food at the ready, or at least lots of plans to treat yourselves to take out. And lots of chocolate. I hope you have that stocked right up.
Sending you all the best luck as you get ready for friday. It’ll be a lot of work but its soooo exciting!!!!

    • I do have the chocolate for sure. I have regular dark chocolate, dark chocolate chips, and cranberry almond dark chocolate. I’m very sure some takeout will happen if nothing else than on the actual move day!! Thank you! 😀

  5. Fingers crossed for a smooth move into your new home! I’d better not give you any advice on that issue as my past moves definitely weren’t easy-going. Preparing for them drove me crazy every time.
Especially being pregnant I hope you have lots of helpers and will get to relax a little despite the move this week.

    • Thank you! 🙂 We do have many willing and loving family members that will be helping us out and I’m very happy about that!

    • Thanks, Tara! <3 I'll definitely have to do things slow and steady so I don't get overwhelmed for no reason! I can't imagine the amount of stress I'd be feeling if we were moving in to a big house. I'm actually quite glad it's just a cozy 2 bedroom!
