Recent Foodie Finds

Hello and happy 2017 to you! I hope that this year is filled with lots of great things for each and every one of you. Today I’m sharing a few recent foodie finds with you that I’ve been enjoying. I hope that you’ll share your favorite finds in the comments below so that I can learn about more great finds!

Recent Foodie Finds:

  • Gluten Free Vegetable Spring Rolls: Guys, I have wanted a spring roll or an egg roll for over a year. Never have I seen a frozen gluten free one until a few weeks ago. These are so delicious! I love making one and dipping it in a sweet chili sauce. It’s so delicious!

  • Amy’s Organic Refried Beans: Another week night life saver if you’re not in the mood to cook. The ingredients are great and all organic. I love heating these up and putting them in a gluten free tortilla with salsa, bell pepper, and onion. 
  • Almond Milk Pudding Cups: I used to love pudding cups as a little sweet treat and when I stopped having dairy, those went too. I found these delicious almond milk pudding cups in my local food store! It tastes just like the original ones that I used to love! 

  • Organic Drinking Chocolate: This would be a great hot chocolate alternative for any vegans out there. The ingredient list is dairy free and super simple. It’s best made with some non-dairy milk, a little maple syrup to sweeten it, and a small dollop of coconut whipped cream.

  • Rice Ramen: One of my former guilty pleasures was having a big old bowl of Ramen noodles. I’ve recently found a much lower sodium healthier version made with rice noodles. They’re vegan and gluten free and there’s like 4 or 5 different kinds. Perfect with a drizzle of sriracha.

Okay so I was actually just making a list of my upcoming foodie “goals” and questions I have – things I want to finally try out etc – and one of them is “what the heck are ramen noodles?” I want to find some… but then I need to figure out what to do with them. Thanks for the shout out to this company – I’ll keep my eye out. Also, I’m so happy you get to experience pudding cups now!! They are definitely a staple for me (never used to be when I was younger, but somehow they made a resurgence). I love them as a light dessert or sweet snack.

  2. Those Almond Pudding Cups sound delicious! I’m trying to avoid dairy – not completely, because hello ice cream, but a bit – and these sound like the perfect alternative for some of my favorite desserts. I’ll have to check them out ASAP!

    One of the perks of living in Colorado is that we have several natural food brands at the very beginning of their distribution. One of my favorites out here is Cholaca, which is essentially bringing superfood cacao to us in delicious liquid form ( It has become my newest obsession!

  3. I’m kind of excited to say that I used my slow cooker yesterday AND today and made things from scratch RATHER than buying things! That said… I’ve been eating several new things as well. 😀

    • I know–I decided to go for it with the egg rolls becuase I don’t feel like hand rolling my own and I have missed them! 😀

  4. I seriously just got back from the store with Amy’s refried beans! I haven’t tried them yet, but I am SOOO excited to after reading this! And I am certainly hunting down that almond milk pudding! I didn’t even know that existed, but I can’t tell you how excited I am to find some! I’ve also never heard of rice ramen, but it looks deeelish. Especially on a chilly day like today. These are some AWESOME foodie finds. Thanks for sharing, Heather!
