September Goals/Intentions Review

September Goals/Intentions Review

Before we head in to October, I’m going to share my September Goals/Intentions review! I so enjoyed this summer season but am now starting to look forward to Fall.I enjoy the cool but still mild temps, watching scary movies, pumpkin baked goods, and the start of the holiday season! I’ll be sharing some October goals with you next week, until then let’s review September.

September Goals/Intentions Review:

  • Stretch Every Day: I definitely did not stretch 7 days a week but made a very good effort in stretching out almost every day. My back and neck are now feeling much better and I think I’m ready to get back in to my usual exercise routine. I plan to start with 3 days a week and see how things go!
  • Read Two Books: This month I read a 4 book Susan Mallory series and am almost done “The Girl on the Train”. I love me some reading!
  • Apply to One Freelance Writing Job: WOMP! I didn’t have the time to do  the research I wanted to get done. I will have to make this a goal for next month!
  • Get Ahead on Posts: I was able to stay 2-4 posts ahead for the month which was great! I hope to stay ahead next month as well and from now on. It helps with my stress level and I love being able to relax after work.
  • Ditch Purse for Backpack: Yep! I’ve really liked using the backpack instead of my purse. I think it definitely helped with my neck and back issues. I think I’ll keep using it from now on.

Thinking Out Loud with Amanda today!

How did you do with your goals? How do you stay ahead on posts?

Tell me in the comments below!

  1. Nice work with your goals! Even if you missed a few – it looks like you’re spot on!

I’ve started planning out my posts 6 weeks ahead, and write all of my posts on Mondays a week ahead (add in some personal stuff just prior to hitting publish.) It’s changed my stress levels dramatically.

Also, let me know if you need any help with freelancing. Freelance writing and the blog are my only sources of income, so I’ve learned a lot in the past 5-6 months, ha!

    Good luck heading into October!
    XO, Jessica

    • Thanks, Jessica! I have really enjoyed your personal posts blurbs and then the post of the day! I’d love to chat about freelancing, I’ll email you! <3 Thanks!

  2. I foroot to ask you when I saw you if you have read or heard of the book Room by Emma Donoghue. It was so good! There’s a movie but the book is better!

  3. I have a couple goals for October! My serious goal is to stay on track with my budget, and not go over (aka buy unnecessary junk). My fun goal is to try a pumpkin-flavored recipe! I’ve never been a huge fan of pumpkin (probably because I don’t like how obsessed people are with it) but I figured I could give it a shot since I’m so into the fall spirit this year! 🙂 Your goals sound fabulous!

  4. So glad to hear your neck/shoulders are feeling better!!! This can be the BIGGEST drag/discomfort in your days. Keep on that stretching and backpack wearing!
I think I need to do some goal making for next month. September was a bit of a freelance/whatever/buy everything/do anything month. And while I think that was good for me, on the short term, I’m really starting to feel the need for some more focus.

    • Thanks, Cora! It really was a drag! Good luck on your goals next month–I know seeing them in writing really helps me stay focused!

  5. You did so good on your goals! I think that it is such a good idea to make goals. It helps me to get things done! I definitely need work on stretching more and I would love to stay 2-4 posts ahead each week. That would make my life so much easier! LOL

    • Thanks, Tara. I love having them in writing for the month it keeps me accountable and focused. You definitely should work ahead, its been a life saver and helped a lot with stress levels!
