What’s In My Hospital Bag?

Happy Tuesday! I received some requests for a What’s in my Hospital bag post so today I’m sharing what I packed! I’d love to hear what you packed/didn’t pack, etc in the comments below, mamas! I’m 34 weeks pregnant and babies have a way of coming too early in my family. I feel so much better now that I have her room prepped, bassinet ready, and my bag packed! Let me know if there’s any other posts you’d be interested in that are pregnancy related before she comes! 🙂

  1. Hehe those push socks sound awesome! This is definitely not a necessity, but if you have a nursing pillow, I would bring that so that the nurses / hospital’s lactation consultant can help you get started using what you’ll use at home. (I definitely recommend this one https://www.amazon.com/My-Brest-Friend-Original-Fireworks/dp/B003TSDMH8/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1494935938&sr=8-3&keywords=my%2Bbrest%2Bfriend&th=1 – I waited until like he was a month old to get it and should have gotten it sooner!)

  2. Ha I packed so much compared to you!! I love the socks, lol. Too funny! I second Christina on the boppy pillow or whatever you plan to use to help you breastfeed. I also would say nursing tanks/nursing bras! Tip- wear one before you get all hooked up to the wires, lol. I had on a sports bra thinking nothing and when she came out and we had skin to skin and tried breastfeeding, it was very complicated lol. I’d throw in a hoodie in case it gets cold, and chapstick for during labor!

    • Yes! I have my boppy pillow–I’ll definitely have to remember to bring that as well! Good call on the hoodie and I’ve got my nursing bras packed too! Chapstick is also at the ready haha–dry lips are terrible!

  3. I would second the nursing pillow if you have one you plan to use at home, it’s nice to get used to the positioning with the help of the lactation consultant. Pack more snacks than you think you need, the hubs and I went through so many snacks while having the babes. Also, you might want a light blanket or sweater for Daniel. Our room would get chilly at night, the babies were swaddled and I had plenty of blankets, but the hubs only had a sheet and was cold. Both my kiddos came about a week and a half early.

    • Thanks! I’ll definitely bring my nursing pillow and a sweatshirt for Daniel too! Good call on the light blanket too! Thanks!

  4. I’m jealous, Heather, I never got to pack my bags. Depended on dad to bring stuff. Went home without shoes the one time. He did try! Love him for that!
